The opportunity
Th Risk & Projects Coordinator forms a key part of the Risk Management Team within the Finance Directorate. This role will work collaboratively across the business to ensure risk and project risks are; fit for purpose, fit within the requirements of the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework, deployed to establish awareness and capability; and consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to
• Coordinate risk workshops on behalf of project teams or managers, to assist in identifying risks and potential treatment plans particularly relating to high risk or high-profile projects
• Provide project managers and teams with independent and sound risk advice
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to identify common project risks
• Assist in undertaking risk register reviews, risk workshops and risk analysis discussions with GMCT internal stakeholders
• Provide risk management presence and be involved in improvement projects, OH&S committees and other groups as needed
• Assist in the coordination and maintenance of the Operational Resilience Framework including testing of the business continuity plan (B)CP
To be successful in this position you will require:
• A relevant qualification or relevant practical experience in risk management
• Relevant practical experience managing projects to successful completion
• A relevant qualification as a qualified Auditor or relevant practical experience
