We are delighted to open our new 102 bed Aged Care home, Holy Cross, implementing the Inspirit Model of Care. We are looking for Housekeeping Assistants to join our team to work in Laundry and Cleaning services. Ideally we would prefer candidates with a minimum of 3 days availability.
A typical Cleaning day will involve
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in residents’ rooms and common areas
- Tidy and organise lounges, dining areas, offices and storage areas
- Remove rubbish safely and restock bathroom supplies daily
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures to keep residents safe
- Demonstrating pride in your household by doing what is needed
A typical Laundry day will involve
- Collect, wash, fold, and distribute residents’ clothing and personal laundry
- Correctly label and store clothing to avoid loss or mix-ups
- Maintain linen supplies and ensure laundry areas are clean and organised
- Iron residents’ clothing and table linen as required
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures to keep residents safe
To be successful in this role you’ll need
- A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
- To enjoy moving around and interacting with residents
