Additional locations: Adelaide (local) and Coffs Harbour NSW. We are seeking experienced Construction Health and Safety Advisors to join our client's team on a FIFO basis, departing from Queensland.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures across remote project sites.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to employees and contractors.
Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to address potential safety concerns.
Provide ongoing support to ensure compliance with state and federal safety legislation.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all levels of the workforce.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on workplace health and safety.
Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety (e.g., Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry standards.
Proven ability to conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams on-site.
Experience in FIFO roles or remote project work is an advantage.
Must be willing to travel and work on a FIFO schedule.
