Permanent Part‐Time Senior Veterinary Nurse – Adelaide SA Urgent Care
Adelaide Veterinary Walk In Clinic is a dedicated urgent care facility in Prospect, operating after hours in the gap between general practice and emergency care. We provide immediate outpatient care for pets who might otherwise face long waits at emergency hospitals.
We are looking for a Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team on a permanent part‐time basis, with the opportunity to progress into a Lead Nurse role.
Our amazing current Lead Nurse, Maddy, is moving home interstate, which has opened up this position. Maddy has been with us since the beginning, helping to create the systems and culture that make our clinic so special. She is happy to be contacted by prospective candidates to discuss the clinic and the role, giving you an insider perspective on the team, culture, and opportunity.
3–4 weeknights per week alternating
Every second weekend (Saturday–Sunday) on shift, with the preceding long weekend (Friday–Monday) off shift
Flexible scheduling considered for the right candidate including some work from home duties
All clinical hours are entitled to attractive penalty rates in addition to above award base rate
About the Role
As a Senior Veterinary Nurse, you will provide high‐quality clinical care while supporting and mentoring other team members. Over time, there is scope to take on additional leadership responsibilities, including training and administrative duties, rostering and payroll.
Responsibilities
* Deliver client services, triage and clinical nursing all in one shift
* Support veterinarians during urgent care consults, surgeries and procedures
* Mentor and assist the nursing team
* Help with clinic administration and workflow improvements
* Participate in staff training and professional development

Requirements
* Certificate IV or equivalent in Veterinary Nursing (minimum 3 years' experience preferred)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic urgent care environment
