Job Summary
The role of Network Architect is to oversee the design, implementation and management of critical infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal network performance across multiple sites.
This involves strategic planning, project implementation and network deployment activities, as well as managing incident response and production support to maintain high network availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement network solutions that meet business needs, including network architecture, routing and switching, and security.
* Oversee the implementation of enterprise voice systems, ensuring seamless business communications.
* Manage incident response and production support teams to minimize downtime and ensure high network availability.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement mitigation strategies to prevent future incidents.
* Monitor and enhance security frameworks to protect against threats and deliver rapid detection and response capabilities.
Requirements for this role include:
Qualifications and Experience
* 5+ years in Network Engineering with strong knowledge of network fundamentals, network design and implementation of best and secure practices across large enterprise networks.
* Proven experience with Cisco Routing & Switching, Wi-Fi, Meraki, Palo Alto NGFW, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE and Data Centre solutions (ACI/NDFC).
* Strong troubleshooting skills including packet and log analysis with proven technical documentation abilities.
* Expertise in Enterprise Voice/VoIP systems (e.g. Cisco Unified Communications, SIP).
* Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; certifications like CCNP, CCNA, PCNSA, PCNSE are a plus.
