Overview
Production Operators (Day and Afternoon Shift) at Neumann Steel Pty Ltd. We are currently seeking Production Operators to join our day and afternoon shift teams in a full-time capacity. The Production Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes, specified by work order, drawings, templates or layout as relevant to the machine. This will involve setting up the machine, monitoring the production process, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the rebar shapes are produced to the required specifications.
Responsibilities
* Setup and operate machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes.
* Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
* Conduct pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.
* Report any faults to your manager/supervisor immediately.
* Quality check product as required to ensure they meet production requirements.
* Take pride in your machine and work area - ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.
* Report any breakdowns, safety issues or hazards.
* Maintain the highest workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
* Physically fit and able to operate machinery
* Interest in machinery and production
* Ability to always follow safety procedures
* Ability to work as a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Forklift license highly regarded
