OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Network engineer – Contribute to the development of the Network engineering strategy through defining network engineering development standards and implementing innovative end-to-end solutions across multiple domains, within fixed networks, edge networks, IP, virtual devices, Cloud, computing and storage. In addition, we're after someone with good design knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as be a team player.
In this role, you will be:
* Performing commissioning, integration and decommissioning of customer services in Client Network.
* Implementing standard procedures to improve Productivity and Quality.
* Working on Live Network Environment at client base.
* Configuring the VLAN configurations on the ASR switches using NSO Script.
* Configuring Nokia(Nokia 7250 IXR-E,Nokia 7750-SR2s,Nokia 7210 SAS-SX etc) as well as Cisco(ASR 9K Series, Nexus 9K as well as Nexus 5K series ,Cisco NCS 540,Cisco C1100 TG ETC) routers and switches. Worked on planning the installation of devices in data centre to integration and provisioning the new devices it and handing it over to operations as per client Standard Operating Procedures(SOP's).
* Worked on deployment of Modern Out Of Band Infrastructure(which helps in accessing managing and recovering network devices when production network is down) and migrating all end devices from Existing out of band network to Modern Out OfBand. Worked under planning the new device install which includes engineering order creation and documentation of new device install, integration and provisioning the new devices by pushing configuration and integrating it in production network and handing the new device to operations.Devices worked upon are Cisco NCS 540,Nokia 7250 IXR -E and Cisco C1100 TG.Also migrated the end devices from Existing out of band network to Modern Out Of Band networks.
* Worked in migrating network services on ASR 9K series,as well as Nokia 7750 SR2s as per customers requirement.Worked on planning ,engineering work order creation to facilitate the migration.
* Expertise in IGP Protocols such as IS-IS,OSPF,RIP,EIGRP.
* Expertise in ACL's,,SNMP,Ether channel(LACP) and VRF's.
* Expertise inn Netconf Protocol to facilitiate provisioning of devices.
* Expertise in MPLS protocols.
* Expertise in Cisco ACI.
* Port configuration on ASR switches and terminating at customer premises.
* Configure Routing Protocols like BGP, RIP and Static Route.
* Configure Customer end Cisco switches and NTU devices as per requirement.
* Creating, maintain, and following technical procedures and documentation.
* Should meet all KPI's in terms of productivity, Quality and process compliance.
* Experience working with various network vendors/providers, with project design and deployment teams.
* High level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems.
* Provide guidance and direction when sought out by others to resolve problems, either in terms of defining the approach to take, or consideration of factors to be solved for.
* Lead initiatives or components of initiatives in line with the strategic direction of your team/mission, that have significant degree of impact on the function or cross-functionally.
Description
* Delivering services to the customer over Core IP devices spread over data centres in Australia.
* Provide technical support to team.
* Ensure volume targets are met on daily/weekly/monthly
* Train new associates joining the team.
* Work allocation for the rest of the team members.
* Implementing and standardising processes including Quality control.
* Ensure service delivery meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines.
* Ensure improved performance & quality service delivery on weekly/monthly basis.
* Work effectively as part of the team, with both internal and external key stakeholders.

* Previous experience in a similar role (or) having hands-on experience on above mentioned systems
