Our client is a well-established, Australian-owned manufacturing organisation with a national footprint across 3 states. They deliver innovative, tailor-made Australian products that their customers trust and rely on. They manufacture and sell a range of quality engineered products (ISO 9001 certified) – some standard, some customised and often specified for the Water Infrastructure and Oil & Gas industries. They take pride in being a people-centric organisation with a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and Australian excellence.
As they grow exponentially, they are now seeking a Finance Manager who can bring structure, strategy, and insights to support our evolution and continued success.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for they financial, administration and will provide assist the IT function to ensure system compatibility, operational effectiveness and cyber security governance. This hands-on leadership position requires a well-rounded financial professional who can confidently manage core financial reporting and accounting processes while also supporting cross-functional teams, especially sales, with data-driven insights. You’ll be a key player in defining, executing and achieving the growth plans, whilst supporting a very strategic and people-oriented MD and leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the sales team with financial data, analysis, and commercial input
* Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management reports
* Maintain a rolling cashflow forecast and lead the annual budgeting process
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including ATO obligations
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
* Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate
* Liaise with external accountants on tax strategy, planning and reporting
* Supervise administration and manage IT service providers
* Partner with the Quality and Systems Manager to monitor IT system capability, security, and redundancy
* Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports and track team performance

* Proven experience in a senior finance role, with relevant tertiary qualifications
* Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support the wider team
* A commitment to accuracy, compliance, and structured financial management
* Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry (preferred)
