Job Overview
Early Childhood Educator Role:
* Nurture positive relationships with children, staff, and families by promoting health, safety, and wellbeing of children.
* Develop and maintain positive and respectful relationships.
* Contribute to children's records of observations on learning.
* Plan, prepare, and implement suitable learning programs and environments for children.
* Guide professional practice based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Work within a legal and ethical framework based on NQS and national regulations.
* Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and the wider community.
* Attend staff meetings to critically reflect on professional practice, pedagogy, ELC philosophy, curriculum, quality improvement, children's learning, and development.

* Certificate III in Children's Services approved by ACECQA (or working towards an Early Childhood Education qualification).
* Understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
* Ability to effectively cope under pressure in emergency or stressful situations.
* Thorough understanding and implementation of play-based curricula.
* Competent computer skills to manage documentation, resources, and technology tools.
* Behaviour management skills reflecting restorative practices and the ability to develop positive strategies.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration and clear communication.
* Valid Working With Children Check and Senior First Aid certification (including CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma).
