To support our increasing workload, we are seeking a Building Inspector to join our growing team and service the Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, and Ballina regions. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a progressive and expanding building inspection company.
About the role
We are seeking a full-time Building Inspector to join our team. As a valued member, you'll collaborate closely with the building inspection team on various residential and commercial projects.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Evaluates various components of the property, including its structural integrity for steel and timber structures, electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, and overall maintenance and compliance issues.
* Maintains project timelines and communicates effectively within the team and with the client.
* Assisting our senior inspectors in preparing a detailed inspection report, including photographs and written assessments.
* Ensure all inspection activities adhere to company standards for accuracy and quality.
Skills and experience:
Having at least three years of experience in building inspections.
* Experience inspecting timber and steel frames, footings, and concrete slabs.
* Hold, or be willing to attain, pest inspection units of competence.
* It would be highly advantageous if you held an Engineering qualification, but is not essential
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Be self-motivated and responsible and can work within a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.
* Have high attention to detail and accuracy, good communication and problem-solving skills.
What we offer:
· Full-time position with a salary between 80,000 and 90,000, depending on the qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.
