Opportunity

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission‑critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer - Avionics to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E‑7A Wedgetail. Working in the Sustainment team we are responsible for current and emerging customer needs. Our team has a unique culture, which prioritises innovation whilst maintaining a culture of flexibility and fun. We are collaborative, adaptable and outcome‑focused. You'll find yourself working in an inclusive team, where people really matter.

This role will be based at our Adelaide, Amberly or Williamtown Office.

Responsibilities

- Development of diverse engineering solutions for integrated avionics, COTS equipment and custom electrical power, simulation and control systems.
- Installation of system hardware infrastructure and associated connectivity.
- Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of system hardware infrastructure.
- Work with the project team to ensure the engineering scope is delivered within the quality, schedule and budgetary constraints of the project.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse, multi‑disciplinary team, in a conscientious and inclusive way.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Familiarity with engineering change processes.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence NV1 security requirements.
- Have experience working in the Avionics domain on civil or Defence aircraft.
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Have proven high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Have experience working within a Technical Regulatory Framework (or similar).
