Temporary to Permanent Accounts Payable Assistant (Hybrid Working) – £26000
A well-established business based in Liverpool is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a proactive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume purchase ledger environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing a high volume of invoices and credit notes for selected suppliers
* Raising payments via Sage and through online banking platforms
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier accounts in Sage
* Allocating payments and credits promptly and accurately to prevent outstanding transactions
* Updating internal payment sheets with correct amounts and supplier names in a timely manner
* Escalating invoice queries to the operations team when necessary
* Participating in weekly ledger balancing and downloads
Skills Required:
* Experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role
* Familiarity with Sage (desirable but not essential)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
A competitive salary of £26,000
Hybrid 3 days in the office
