Our large and well-established Early Childhood Intervention & Youth Program team (ECIS & Youth Team) has expanded into Mitchell Shire and due to the increasing demand for our services, we are excited to offer the opportunity for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist (0.6 EFT) to join our team. In this role you will be supported to provide client-centred, strengths-based services to children with a disability or developmental delay. We embrace and practice a neuro-affirming approach to all therapy. You will work with NDIS funded children and their families to support them through their journey during childhood. Working as part of the Early Childhood Intervention & Youth Program team, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing a high quality, evidence based ECIS and Youth Paediatric Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy service that is co-designed with the family. This will meet the needs of the children and families in a manner which respects the rights and confidentiality of the child and their family.
* Embracing innovation and responsiveness to support great outcomes for the children, families and ECIS/Youth teams.
* Using the Key Worker model in the ECIS team, in partnership and collaboration with all those associated with the child/family, to provide timely and developmentally appropriate services.
* 0.6EFT role
* Based in Wallan with an established team of 3 clinicians
Bring your great, everyday!
You will either have experience or a keen interest as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist or Paediatric Occupational Therapist, with evidence of successful team development and growth.
* A Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy from a recognised university
* Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia or AHPRA
* Ability to work with young children and youth.
* A passion for supporting children and families.
* The ability to form a good working relationship with your colleagues, children and their families.
* Well-developed clinical skills in Paediatric Speech Pathology or Paediatric Occupational Therapy
* Awareness of the Key Worker model and transdisciplinary practice
* Understanding of family centred practice and strengths-based approach
* Knowledge and experience in delivering services under the NDIS.
The fine print
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Clearance.
* Full driver license and travel between sites required.
