We are seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist to join our team in Newcastle on a full-time or part-time basis.
In your daily role, you will be an integral part of the close-knit team of Kairros Consultants working with and supporting individuals who have sustained psychological or physical injuries in the workplace.
Your responsibilities will include:
o Conducting occupational therapy assessments, including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, and equipment assessments
o Supporting recovery and return to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, always prioritizing your client's best interests
o Delivering targeted intervention strategies to improve independence, vocational capacity, and functional performance
o Understanding various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes
Experience and qualifications required:
o Willingness to travel (current vehicle and driver's license required)
o Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
o Qualification in Occupational Therapy
o A passion for injury prevention and facilitating independence at work and home
o Exceptional communication skills and reliability
o An inclusive attitude towards engaging with diverse cultural groups
