About Us NBMLHD is a local health district providing a range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region. The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated capabilities for recovery-oriented mental health care and commitment to recovery-oriented approaches in inpatient mental health care
* Ability to utilise occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support recovery, using independent professional judgment and seeking supervision as appropriate
* Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, maintain open communication, contribute to a positive team environment and support others' learning
* Strong written documentation, computer skills and oral communication
* Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities, policy development, and clinical research
* Willingness to supervise and support students on placement
* Current NSW Driver Licence (P2 acceptable) and willingness to use it for work
