About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist to fill a permanent role in our inpatient services working primarily with patients with substance abuse disorders. Clinical Psychology/Clinical Neuropsychology Registrars are welcome to apply with internal supervision available.

This role is predominantly located within our involuntary drug and alcohol treatment ward (IDAT), with an opportunity to support consumers as they transition from inpatient treatment, through to rehabilitation, thence community living.

Key aspects of the role include: utilising standardised assessment measures; treatment formulation; individual and group intervention.

This role is offered full time, with flexible working hours.

The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to expand their skills by working across a range of adult psychiatric services including inpatient acute, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services.

They will be placed within a large team of Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, and Senior Clinical Psychologists, and have the opportunity to attend internal supervision and training.

The successful candidate for this position is eligible to apply for additional financial support under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
