Based in Frankston, we work with local business owners, professionals, and families who value down-to‑earth, straight‑talking advice. Our team's growing, and we're now on the lookout for a Accounting Manager to take the reins on a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in leading our accounting team.
What You'll Be Doing
* Coordinating workflow and ensuring jobs get done right and on time - without the chaos.
* Mentoring and developing junior team members who look up to your experience.
* Managing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and FBT for all entity types (and across a pretty wide mix of industries).
* Advising clients on accounting, tax, and commercial issues - with the freedom to actually make a difference, not just tick boxes.
* Building long‑term relationships with clients who genuinely value your advice.
What We're Looking For
* Extensive experience working in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
* Solid hands‑on experience with Xero, and ideally MYOB and QuickBooks .
* Familiarity with BGL SF360, XPM, and FYI Docs is a plus (but not a dealbreaker).
* Someone who's confident, curious, and not afraid to think beyond compliance.
* A genuine team player who wants to grow with the firm - not just punch the clock.
* CPA, IPA, or CA qualified.
