The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Products Estimator to join our team in Thornton, NSW. Reporting to the Division Manager, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and commercially competitive quotations and tender submissions across NEPEAN Power's product and engineered electrical solutions portfolio.
This position plays a key role in supporting business growth through technical estimating expertise, customer engagement, risk assessment, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and business development teams. The successful candidate will bring strong industry knowledge and a proactive, customer-focused approach to tendering and estimating activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed quotations, tenders, and pricing submissions for industrial electrical and engineered product solutions
* Review technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to develop accurate project cost estimates
* Assess tender scope, commercial and technical risks, and provide feedback to the Division Manager
* Compile tender schedules, letters of offer, programs, and supporting documentation
* Liaise with customers throughout the tender process to clarify requirements and maintain strong working relationships
* Collaborate with engineering and internal stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions align with customer and operational requirements
* Maintain quotation records, estimating documentation, and CRM information
* Monitor quotation quality to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
* Identify customer trends and proactively support business development opportunities
* Participate in design review and product meetings as required
* Coach and mentor team members where appropriate to support capability development
About You
* Electrical Trade Certificate and/or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
* Experience within mining, industrial switchboard manufacture, electrical installation, or maintenance environments
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an estimating role or equivalent industry experience
* Strong understanding of industrial electrical products, systems, and solutions
* Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative capability
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, engineers, and internal stakeholders
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, ERP systems, and SharePoint
* Self‐motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently within a team environment
