**About the role**
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment & Water (DCCEEW) has a unique opportunity for a Principal Project Officer to manage the development and delivery of traffic engineering and parking solutions including planning, scoping, resourcing, stakeholder consultation and key milestone reporting within a defined program of work ensuring completion within agreed timeframes, quality standards and at or below budget, and compliance with project management best practice standards, to support the achievement of NSW Government and corporate outcomes.
**About you**
You have expertise and experience in traffic engineering and parking management, including infrastructure and technology design and installation, standards and legal requirements, data analysis, policy setting, stakeholder management and communications. Your passion for your community and environment, coupled with a strong attention to detail and proficiency in project management will be key to your success in this role. You'll be adept in providing high level specialist advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy and environmental objectives and other project and priorities.
**Essential requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience along with strong organisational skills to plan, manage and deliver multiple projects on time and within resources
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial, governance and risk management standards and practices associated with project management
- Current NSW Drivers licence
