The role:
This progressive and fast-growing professional services firm has a substantial national footprint, offering services across Tax & Accounting, Advisory, and Wealth & Financial Management.
Due to continued growth, a newly created senior FP&A leadership role has been established. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Business Intelligence, this role will play a critical part in shaping and executing the firm's finance strategy, directly influencing both operational performance and long-term strategic outcomes.
You will partner closely with the Executive and Divisional Leadership teams, acting as a trusted commercial advisor while leading a high-performing FP&A team on its evolution from a strong analytical function to one that combines insight, influence and true business partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the development of budgets, forecasts and long range financial plans
* Deliver performance reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries, translating complex data into actionable insights
* Continue to evolve reporting capability to deliver deeper insights & leverage technology to its full potential
* Owning and enhancing financial models for scenario planning, investment analysis and business cases
* Set the goals and standards for business unit forecasting & budgeting
* Support business cases and decisions through modelling options and scenario planning
* Assist with M&A activities & strategic projects
* Implement the Finance Transformation plan, instilling industry best practice in the team's processes and deliverables
About you:
* Minimum 10 years' experience in FP&A, ideally within professional services, large corporates or ASX-listed environments
* CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
* Proven track record of delivering insightful management reporting and commercially astute decision support
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level
* Strong communication and presentation capability
* Experience with business intelligence tools; exposure to Workday Adaptive Planning and Power BI highly regarded
* Experience supporting due diligence and post-transaction change initiatives
