Our Best Starts with You
At Advara HeartCare, we're building something important - something special.
We're Australia's largest cardiology provider, with over 90 centres and more than 100 specialists. For more than 20 years, our Australian-owned business has been recognised for its quality outcomes and compassionate patient care. But more than just size, we're creating a future where world-class cardiac care is the standard — and that future depends on our people.
We can't do this without you.
Whether you're delivering patient care or providing vital support behind the scenes, you are our impact — and you are our future. That's why we foster a culture where people feel supported, heard, and empowered to thrive.
Your Impact, With Us
We're currently inviting an experienced Medical Secretary to join our growing WA team — someone who's ready to contribute to life-changing care while building a meaningful career in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
In this role, you'll be the right hand to our cardiologists — coordinating, scheduling, and communicating to ensure patients receive timely and compassionate care.
What You'll Do
Your primary base will be at our Murdoch – Wexford Medical Centre, with occasional travel to other WA clinics including Rockingham, Armadale, and Yokine as needed.
You will:
Coordinate specialist calendars, appointments, and clinic bookings
Provide high-level PA support to cardiologists
Manage hospital procedure theatre bookings
Liaise with patients, hospitals, and healthcare providers
Handle billing for Medicare, DVA, private health funds, and patient quotes
Issue invoices and attend to account enquiries
Provide short-term admin relief at other Advara clinics when required
What You'll Bring
Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical secretary or administrative role
Strong understanding of medical and (ideally) cardiology terminology
Proficiency with medical software (we use HealthTrack)
Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills
High attention to detail and excellent computer literacy
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting
A current Australian driver's licence (travel required)
We'd Love You to Have:
A collaborative, team-focused mindset
A calm and compassionate approach with patients and colleagues
A willingness to learn and share your knowledge to help others grow
