Offer description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team at SGS Scrap Metal. The Administrator will play a key role in supporting daily operations, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the office. This role requires a proactive individual who can multitask, maintain attention to detail, and collaborate effectively with other administrators to provide exceptional service to internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide general administrative support to the management and operational teams.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including customer files, purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing calendars.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, filing, and distributing documents.
- Prepare and maintain various reports related to sales, inventory, and operations.
- Manage and order office supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with fellow administrators to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, and share information to improve workflow.
- Provide assistance to other administrators when needed, helping to manage workload and resolve issues.
- Assist with invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Help with general office management, including ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an administrator or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Xero.
- Experience with office management systems and CRM software is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A positive, professional attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate and work efficiently with other administrators in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration are a plus.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

- Australia (Required)
