SAP ERP Replacement Program - Senior Business Analyst
Project Overview The ERP Replacement Program will retire and decommission multiple financial applications across the organisation. Prior to decommissioning, all relevant data must be archived in line with the organisation's Data Retention Policy. Two validated archiving approaches are in scope:
1. Third-party commercial archive solution
2. Retain applications in read-only mode
The Business Analyst (BA) capability will drive requirements clarity to inform the final option(s), support the RFP (if Option 1 is selected), and ensure a compliant, user-friendly archive that meets reporting and retrieval needs post go-live (after 1 July 2026).

* SAP ERP (primary), SAP Concur, Apliqo, OneSource Reporting, TM1, Xero
* Great Plains, KwikTag, Fiscal Finance
Note: SAP ERP is the main driver for third-party solution selection. SAP Concur is proposed to be retained in read-only mode.
Current Status
* High-level requirements: captured and socialized; scope updates pending (e.g., add Xero).
* Detailed requirements: SAP ERP captured; not signed off.
* Other apps: detailed requirements to be gathered (except SAP Concur read-only).
Role Details
* Location: Melbourne, Victoria
* Work Model: Hybrid (workshops with business & IT; vendor interactions)
Key Responsibilities (BA Capability)
* Lead requirements planning for archiving across all in-scope applications; maintain traceability from policy to solution capabilities.
* Own and iterate functional & non-functional requirements (including compliance, security, retention, retrieval SLAs, and audit trails).
* Facilitate cross-functional workshops (Finance, Legal, Risk, Data Governance, IT Ops, Records Management, Business Units).
* Prepare and present artefacts to Steering Committee and key stakeholders for decisions and progress checkpoints.
* Interpret the Data Retention Policy and translate into implementable rules (e.g., retention periods, disposal schedules, data classifications).
* Document current-state data flows and future-state archiving processes (ingest, index, query, report, export).
* Finalize evaluation criteria to drive vendor selection, including data coverage, reporting, data extraction, multi-system capability, licensing model, and security.
* Create RFP pack and support vendor Q&A, response scoring, demos/POCs, and recommendation to the Steering Committee.
* Manage a Confluence/Jira repository of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; apply INVEST standards for story quality.
* Coordinate with IT Ops/Support for run-book creation and operational handover (including read-only system monitoring).
Skills & Experience
* Senior BA with 5+ years across ERP/Finance transformations and data archiving/decommissioning initiatives.
* Strong policy-to-process translation skills (data retention, privacy, audit).
* Experience with SAP ERP and at least two of: TM1, Xero, Great Plains, KwikTag, Apliqo, OneSource Reporting.
* Proficiency in Jira/Confluence, process modelling tools ), and requirements traceability.
* Demonstrated vendor evaluation/RFP experience, including solution assessment and POCs.
* Excellent stakeholder management; ability to balance compliance, user experience, and cost across multiple systems.
* Comfortable operating in hybrid environments and driving progress through structured artefacts and governance forums.
