Rockingham General Hospitalis seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join our Older AdultMedicine and Rehabilitation team.
This is a fixed-term sessionalappointment at 10 sessions per fortnight (0.5 FTE) starting inearly May 2026. While initially a 6-month contract, there is apossibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
About the Role
You will lead the multidisciplinaryteam to provide specialist medical services to patients. You willpromote patient safety and quality of care. You will provideleadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, whererelevant, for doctors in training, health service medicalpractitioners and other health workers.
In collaboration with the Head ofDepartment and other Consultants, you will work to achievenational, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS)performance standards and targets.
You will work within the scope ofclinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS AreaMedical Credentialing Committee.
Rockingham PeelGroup is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service,one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia andcomprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital andMurray District Hospital, in addition to community and mentalhealth services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana.
