Job Description:
As a Disability Support Worker, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The role involves providing in-home support for clients in the Nowra region, working flexible hours on an ongoing roster. You will be responsible for supporting clients with complex mental health, physical, and intellectual disabilities.
Your duties may include:
* Supporting individuals out in the community
* Assisting with daily routine including personal care, menu planning, cooking and serving meals, cleaning, shopping and other activities of daily living
* Managing accurate and detailed shift reports including progress notes and incident reports
* Manual handling, medication assistance, bladder & bowel care
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 12 months experience supporting individuals living with intellectual disability, mental health
* Qualification in disability, individual support, mental health, aged care or related field is highly desirable
* Evidence of 3 Covid vaccinations
* Driver's license
* Current CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check (WWCC) & NDIS Worker Check
