Job Description:
This entry-level position is ideal for those keen to begin a rewarding career in an essential service industry. The role involves assisting with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, as well as participating in emergency response efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with preventative and routine maintenance
* Operation of existing treatment systems
* Construction of new works
* Ensuring quality water and wastewater services are delivered to customers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Good understanding of hydraulics and mechanical plant
* Demonstrated commitment, ability, and experience in resolving customer enquiries while providing a strong customer focus
* Physically capable of undertaking tasks related to the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems
* Experience working as part of a on-call/roster team
* Strong OHS commitment and focus
* Experience in the plumbing, water, or allied service industry (not essential)
* Committed to contributing positively to the team and organisation
* Comfortable using digital systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
* Strong organisational, self-management, and problem-solving skills
Benefits:
* Classification GVW2: $55,142 - $74,025 + super (dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills, and experience)
