The Water Treatment Plant Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring public health and safety through the efficient operation of water treatment facilities.
About the Role
* Support the operation and maintenance of treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs to ensure reliable service delivery.
* Monitor and control water treatment processes to optimize quality and efficiency.
* Conduct regular water sampling and testing to maintain high standards of water quality.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to prevent equipment downtime.
* Complete thorough risk assessments and accurate operational records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participate in an on-call roster to provide 24/7 support for critical services.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, a current Queensland C Class driver's licence, a General Construction Induction Card (White Card), and a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or willingness to obtain. You will also need to be willing to undertake training for confined space, working at heights, and breathing apparatus operations.
