About the Role
BDO is seeking a passionate and proactive People & Culture Adviser to join our Canberra team. This is a true generalist role, with a strong focus on supporting our team members and partnering with Leaders to deliver strategic people initiatives across the firm.
You will play a key role in fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment, contributing to employee engagement, retention, and growth, while helping shape a values driven, high performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with employees and leaders to identify and address challenges, support career development, and enhance engagement and retention
Provide operational advice on people matters including performance, conduct, and employee relations
Support the delivery of strategic initiatives such as remuneration reviews, career conversations, and engagement surveys
Collaborate on P&C projects and change management activities
Champion inclusion, diversity, wellbeing, and WHS initiatives
Assist with reporting and data analysis
Lead Talent Acquisition activities by running end to end recruitment processes, attending early careers events and facilitating assessment centres
About You
2-3+ years' experience in a similar generalist P&C role
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline is desirable
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Foundational knowledge of employment law, HR policies and best practices processes
Detail oriented, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement
Workday experience is advantageous
