Software Engineering Specialist .NET – Westpac
Join Westpac as a Software Engineering Specialist .NET. This full‐time permanent role is based on the Gold Coast, working in a hybrid way from our Surfers Paradise Tech Hub.
You'll join an innovative engineering team supporting Business Lending technology that helps our business customers manage and grow their businesses.
In this role you'll design, build and enhance software solutions that are reliable, secure and built with the customer in mind. You'll work across modern .NET technologies, integrating with enterprise systems and contributing to projects that really matter. You'll collaborate closely with other engineers, apply agile ways of working and bring design thinking into everything you do. You'll also help lift capability across the team by reviewing code, sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
What do I need?
* Strong experience building applications using .NET, C# and modern web technologies
* Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, including authentication using JWT or OAuth and CORS within ASP.NET Core Web APIs
* Working knowledge of secure coding practices, including the OWASP Top 10
* Understanding of EF Core or Dapper and familiarity with Dependency Injection and SOLID principles
* A collaborative approach, with a passion for learning, sharing knowledge and improving how software is built
