The Platform Engineering Lead will be responsible for defining and communicating a clear technical vision, leading a high-performing engineering team, and driving modern web development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Define and communicate a clear technical vision aligned with strategic goals.
* Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing engineering team.
* Drive modern web development and legacy application modernisation efforts.
* Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
* Ensure high coding standards through regular code reviews and best practice adoption.
* Plan and manage departmental resources, risks, and initiatives in line with strategic objectives.
* Champion Agile, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.
* Oversee cloud migration strategies and implementation of scalable, cost-efficient solutions.
* Lead innovation on the ServiceNow platform and integrate AI/ML into applications responsibly.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure services meet business and customer needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
* Significant experience in software engineering in a comparable organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in leading teams and delivering complex software engineering projects.
* Significant experience in AI/ML technologies and integrating them into applications.
* Strong expertise in legacy system modernisation and web development frameworks.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
* In-depth knowledge of web development technologies, including modern .NET frameworks (e.g., Razor pages).
* Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture and enterprise integrations.
