About the Role

The Supervisor, Offender Services is a key role within the Offender Services team. The team, led by the Offender Services Manager, is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of a range of programmes and services across several specialist portfolios: transition and reintegration, family engagement, disability, diversity and complex care. The team is comprised of positions across multiple disciplines and works collaboratively to deliver a holistic, prisoner‐centric service focused on positive behaviour change, rehabilitation and (re)integration.

The Offender Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the location's Transition and Reintegration service, including the administration, coordination, and delivery oversight of the Corrections Victoria Reintegration Pathway. The role provides leadership and supervision to a team of Assessment and Transition Coordinators and works collaboratively with contracted service providers to coordinate and oversee service delivery at the location, ensuring programmes and services are delivered effectively and in line with operational requirements.

* Monitor delivery against agreed Service Delivery Outcomes and assist in the identification of related challenges and opportunities.
* Manage staffing resources for specialist prisoner programmes, including workforce planning, workload allocation and the distribution of team responsibilities.
* Provide strategic advice, reports and recommendations to management on prisoner programmes and effective strategies to address identified prisoner needs and support positive outcomes.
* Contribute to embedding a positive pro‐social environment and support a connected, multidisciplinary approach to service delivery.
* Work direct prisoner contact; may require flexible hours including weekends and public holidays and attend to urgent work as required.

Qualifications

* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing transition and reintegration programmes and services, including with diverse and special prisoner cohorts, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and a range of external stakeholders.
* An understanding of operational procedures within a correctional services environment would be highly regarded.
* Prior experience in managing teams and resources, including workloads and team‐based responsibilities.
* A relevant tertiary qualification or proven track record in the delivery and coordination of reintegration and rehabilitation programmes is desirable.
