Your opportunity
An Electricity Supply Industry Technical Traineeship offers you a choice of career paths, while following a structured 4-year program that will give you opportunities to develop skills in many areas.
There’s a variety of electrical Traineeships to choose from located in metro or regional areas to commence in January 2026.
As a Technical Trainee, you’ll have a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing an Associate Degree of Engineering externally through the University of Southern Queensland. You’ll be paid and fully supported throughout your studies and training.

The remuneration for your new role is:
- Under 21 years of age from $70,349 per annum + 14.75% superannuation + allowances
- Over 21 years of age from $96,565 per annum + 14.75% superannuation + allowances

What you’ll bring
- You must have achieved a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 62.7 or equivalent qualification.
- You can be a recent school leaver, trade qualified person or someone with real world experience keen to progress your career.
- Year 12 English and general Mathematics.
We’d also love you to have:
- Year 12 Mathematical Methods (Units 2 & 4, C) or equivalent.
