Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role is located in Katoomba, NSW and is best suited to a upcoming Chef de Partie who is looking to step into a new role with the flexibility to create their own menus and deliver exception culinary offerings.
The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring all meals are of high quality and presented well. They will create and update menus, manage kitchen inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Additionally, the Chef will coordinate meal preparation, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications
* Skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
* Experience in creating and updating menus
* Knowledge of kitchen inventory management and procurement
* Understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen
* Ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff effectively
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage (Minimum Certificate III in Cookery or equivalent in Australia is required)
* Previous experience in hotels or a restaurant/cafe setting is a plus
