About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Quality Coordinator to join Intertek Australia. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for managing all matters relating to quality and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and accreditation requirements. This senior coaching, influencing, and compliance role will support continual improvement across the World of Energy business and will serve as the central point of contact and subject‑matter expert for all quality‑related matters.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring site technical compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA accreditation requirements.
* Monitoring and implementing operational requirements in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
* Overseeing calibration and routine checks of laboratory equipment in collaboration with laboratory staff.
* Monitoring the completion of accreditation obligations, including maintaining accurate records.
* Conducting and managing investigations of discrepancies or non‑conformances, including implementing corrective and preventative actions.
* Developing and improving systems and processes to support a strong quality culture across the laboratory.
* Ensuring work systems and processes are compliant with relevant local and national quality and regulatory requirements.
* Performing periodic quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with policies and procedures, and providing improvement plans as required.
* Coordinating development of the annual technical training program for laboratory staff.
* Maintaining quality‑related databases, documentation, and records.
* Ensuring effective communication and consultation on quality issues across the laboratory and broader business.
* Actively engaging with team members to build a high‑performing, quality‑focused culture that embraces improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in quality, chemistry, science, or a related discipline.
* Understanding of quality management systems and associated compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience with accreditation and certification programs (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17020, ISO 14001).
* Previous exposure to commercial operating environments such as laboratories, cargo operations, processing facilities, or similar technical settings.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email applications.
