Position: Retail Supervisor
Reports to: Store Manager
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $77,000 per annum+ Superannuation
Position Summary:
The Retail Supervisor oversees frontline retail operations and supervises sales staff to ensure efficient store performance and high-quality customer service. The role involves coordinating staff activities, maintaining stock levels, and supporting store management in achieving sales and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail sales assistants
* Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members
* Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered
* Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
* Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action
* Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards
* Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner
* Operate point-of-sale systems and assist with cash handling when required
* Support implementation of store policies and procedures
* Assist management with daily reporting and operational tasks
* Ensuring that tobacco and gift products are correctly priced and displayed
Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous experience in retail, preferably in a supervisory role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lead and motivate a team
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Customer-focused approach
Qualifications:
* Certificate II or III in Retail (desirable) or Sufficient experience as a Retail Supervisor.
