Job title: Key Worker
Location: Joondalup
Employment Type: Full time or Part time (4 days per week)

Responsibilities
Deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes.
Support before/after school appointments as these times are the most highly requested for therapy.
Work in the social model by delivering therapy in diverse settings (homes, schools, playgrounds, community centres).
Conduct initial appointments in family homes, using assessment and communication skills to understand goals.
Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support child development (e.g., motor skills and communication).
Coach parents in finding the best school fit for their child's needs.
Work with a Speech Pathologist and family to support a child's communication and social skills.
Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
Document and bill for each session through the online participant management system.
Provide after-school support to help establish consistent routines.
Attend weekly hub team meetings and participate in clinical mentorship when available.
Engage in online mentoring sessions to build knowledge of Assistive Technology and behavioral support strategies.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification and registration for the respective discipline:
Occupational Therapist: degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
Physiotherapist: degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
Speech Pathologist: degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
Educator: Bachelor or Master's degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Special Education
Social Worker: Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membership
Minimum 12 months experience working with children (0-8) and their families
Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
A positive and adaptable approach to work
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Commitment to personal and professional growth
Valid Australian driver's license
NDIS Workers Screening Check
Working with Children Check
Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments
