We are a successful Australian business with a strong global presence in the lithium market. Our Pilgangoora Operation is one of the largest hard-rock lithium operations worldwide.
This role will support our organization and play a key part in mitigating tax risk, ensuring critical taxation processes are completed in accordance with all compliance requirements.
 * Prepare and submit tax compliance workpapers and lodgements to meet Australian tax obligations, including income tax, GST, fuel tax, FBT, royalties, withholding taxes, payroll tax, and employee share scheme (ESS) reporting.
 * Coordinate payment of tax liabilities and maintain accurate tax data and working papers.
 * Collect accounting and business information inputs for Australian and overseas tax obligations.
 * Prepare tax effect accounting workpapers and calculations for group entities, associated financial disclosure information, and liaise with financial accountants to contribute to tax effect journals for consolidated financial statements.
 * Assist in preparing and submitting the group's global transfer pricing obligations, including transfer pricing documentation, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), and intercompany transaction analysis.
 * Support the preparation and submission of the PLS tax transparency report and information.
 * Provide information and responses to external auditors and regulators on all tax-related matters.
 * Complete technical research and prepare associated position papers, memorandums, reports, and tax advisory for management and audit committees on taxation matters.
 * Oversight of compliance with the Tax Governance and Control Framework, including ongoing development of policies, processes, and procedures within the framework, control testing, and documentation.
 * Maintenance of the tax fixed asset register.
 * Identification of the impact of tax legislation on business transactions and operations of the global Group.
 * Tax awareness across the business and provision of improvement strategies, ensuring tax systems and controls are maintained to support the tax reporting framework.
