Support Student Learning
We are seeking an Inclusive Education Supporter to work at point of need across our sub-schools. Our students require support due to a range of learning needs and/or disabilities.
About the Role
This role involves working with small groups and individuals in various classroom contexts, supporting students of different ages and developmental stages who may have medical, health or learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students with learning disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Speech and Language Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder or challenges in regulating their behaviour.
* Delivering targeted intervention programs for literacy and/or Mathematics.
* Implementing Individual Education Plans and putting transition plans into practice.
* Communicating effectively with staff, students and parents.
Requirements
To be successful you will have previous experience in a school setting, relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Teacher Assistant (Special Needs), extensive experience working with students in a primary and/or secondary context and excellent interpersonal skills.
