Job Description An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Buyer to join the Dymocks Books team! Reporting to the Lead Category Manager, this role plays a key part in shaping the book assortment across our company-owned store network. Key Responsibilities: Manage back list book buying across the Dymocks company store network Collaborate with the book team to strengthen and grow the company store backlist Work closely with the Planning and Allocation team to identify additional stock opportunities and proactively address underperforming stock Partner with the Lead Category Manager on key category callouts and promotional opportunities Build strong relationships with publishers to drive key title performance, margin opportunities, and backlist buying strategies Support stores alongside the Planning team to optimise backlist assortment, category opportunities, and stock flow Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous experience in a buying role (book retail buying experience preferred) A strong understanding of the book industry Experience working with retail systems Intermediate Excel skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate team within an iconic Australian brand and make a meaningful impact across our company store network.
