Keith and Districts Healthcare is inviting passionate and reliable cooks to join our casual pool. Your role will be vital in preparing nutritious meals, maintaining high food safety standards, and ensuring clients receive meals that meet dietary and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, plate, and distribute meals adhering to menus and special dietary needs.
* Order and manage non-impress food supplies and maintain stock levels.
* Operate kitchen machinery safely and effectively, including electronic recording systems.
* Monitor food temperatures and quality control to ensure safety and client satisfaction.
* Liaise closely with nursing staff, dietitians, and clients to meet food requirements.
* Maintain workplace hygiene and comply with Work Health Safety standards.
* Support and assist team members, providing guidance and on‐the‐job training when required.
* Participate in rostering and kitchen organisation as needed.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in bulk meal preparation and catering for dietary needs.
* Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to relate across diverse cultures.
* Flexibility in work hours and a reliable approach to meeting deadlines.
* Proficiency with kitchen equipment and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
* Knowledge of safe food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
* Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
