**Hours**:0.6 FTE ongoing, but opportunity to work 0.8 FTE until 30 June 2025.
**Location**:Gawler (Bellevue Court Residential Care, Southern Cross Care & Trevu House, Calvary Care)
**About the Role**:
The Mental Health Clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team to deliver focused psychological interventions for individuals with mental health conditions in a residential aged care setting.
The Mental Health Clinician role will include:
- Providing focused psychological interventions in line with program and clinical guidelines.
- Planning and implementing assessment and treatment services.
- Providing evidence based counselling and therapeutic services.
- Group program development and implementation where appropriate and necessary.
- Providing triage, comprehensive assessment, review of guest progress and outcomes and care planning/coordination and support of guests.
- Liaison and consultation with other professional employees and stakeholders.
- Participation in individual and group supervision, and attendance at team meetings and external meetings as required.
- Referral of guests and family members/carers to other services as required.
**Experience Requirements**:
- A minimum 2 years supervised experience in the area of mental health.
- A minimum 2 years relevant professional development and/or supervision.
- Experience in delivery cognitive behaviour therapy and other evidence based interventions.
- Experience in assessing and treating guests with a range of mental health and/or alcohol and other drug problems.
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
**Qualification and Other Requirements**:
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology or mental health nursing.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA.
- Drivers Licence.
- Current DHS Aged Sector Employment Screening or ability to obtain.
- Influenza Vaccination or willingess to obtain.
