CrewSELECT are partnering with a national leader in water infrastructure and treatment solutions to recruit an experienced Estimator (Electrical & Mechanical) to join their Queensland branch based in Yatala.
This role offers a flexible hybrid working environment, allowing a mix of office and remote work, with flexible hours as long as the standard 40-hour week (8 hours per day) is maintained.
You’ll be joining a highly specialised industry, working on modular infrastructure and water treatment projects across Australia. While prior water industry experience is advantageous, it is not essential, as the business is happy to train the right person due to the niche nature of the sector.
The Opportunity
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and managing tenders for projects ranging from $10K to $4M, working across both electrical and mechanical scopes.
You will collaborate with internal engineering and project teams while liaising directly with contractors, suppliers, project managers and senior stakeholders, making communication and professionalism key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for electrical and mechanical project scopes
* Manage project quotations ranging from $10K to $4M
* Analyse specifications, drawings and project requirements
* Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop competitive tender submissions
* Communicate with contractors, suppliers, project managers and senior stakeholders
* Ensure deadlines for tenders and submissions are met
* Maintain clear documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office tools
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of technical understanding and strong commercial awareness.
You may come from:
* Electrical or Mechanical Estimating
* Engineering background with tendering exposure
* Project engineering or technical roles transitioning into estimation
You will also demonstrate:
* Strong ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* High proficiency with Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Word
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
