Senior Energy Lawyer – 12 Month ContractElevate is partnering with a leading Australian utility firm to onboard a Senior Energy Lawyer for a 12-month contract, starting early to mid-October.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in major energy projects across power generation and storage, while working with a high-performing legal team.
Based in Perth, the role offers flexibility, with the option to work full-time or part-time (minimum 4 days per week) for the right resource.
The RoleAs Senior Energy Lawyer, you will:
Advise on the full project lifecycle for large-scale energy developments.
Draft and negotiate key project documents, including connection agreements, PPAs, offtake and procurement contracts.
Manage external legal counsel and deliver training to internal teams.
Provide proactive, strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and drive commercial outcomes.
Partner with internal stakeholders across engineering, construction, procurement and regulatory functions.
About YouWe're looking for a lawyer with:
7+ years' PAE in energy, projects, or construction (top-tier firm or in-house).
Demonstrated expertise in energy and projects development.
Extensive experience negotiating and drafting energy contracts (PPAs, offtake, supply, procurement).
Strong commercial acumen with a stakeholder-focused approach.
An understanding of EPC/EPCM front-end contracting is a plus, though not mandatory for the role.
Confidence working autonomously and collaboratively in fast-moving environments.
