The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Project Officer, Planning and Development to provide a critical role within the Corrections Victoria. 
About the business unit 
The Security and Intelligence Division sits within Corrections Victoria (CV) in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). To deliver its responsibilities, the Security and Intelligence Division is divided into complementary work units, one of which is the Security Standards Unit (SSU). The unit provides assistance and advice to Victorian prisons relating to security and risk and identifies emerging issues in the correctional environment. The SSU also oversees the Planning and Development team and the Locksmiths Services team. 
The Planning and Development team produces and maintains all emergency schematic plans, evacuation diagrams and site maps and plans. This includes developing interim plans, updating existing plans, and coordinating aerial photography of the sites for YJCS and CV facilities and privately-owned prisons. The Planning and Development Office produces high quality graphics products and material for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The team is also required to undertake a range of printing, binding, laminating and other associated tasks. 
About the role 
The Project Officer, Planning and Development is required to undertake a range of functions relating to the creation and maintenance of various schematic plans and supporting project documentation. This involves ensuring all documentation is of a qualified standard, accurate, and adheres to various legislative and regulatory requirements. In order to deliver these documents as required, there needs to be communication and consultation with a range of stakeholders involved in the process.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Develop, maintain and update YJCS and other DJCS locations schematic plans and evacuation diagrams using advanced Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) programs and skills 
- Attend at YJCS and CV facilities, as well as other DJCS locations as required 
- Liaise with YJCS management, location staff, planning authorities and external stakeholders in the development of schematic plans and evacuation diagrams

About you
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Demonstrated practical experience and knowledge of Autodesk (AutoCAD), Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office suites and/or Photoshop programs. 
- Ability to operate or learn to operate specialist technical equipment related to the scanning of rooms, operation of cameras and photography equipment.
**Qualifications**:
- Formal Qualifications in Building Design/Drafting/Architecture and/or other relevant industrial/construction design would be desirable 
- A current Victorian driver licence is required 
- A current Working with Children check, or the ability to obtain one, is required
