As our operation grows, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Pig Breeding Head Technicians to lead our breeding program.
Key Responsibilities :
* Planning and supervision of piggery breeding program activities
* Collecting pig semen
* Processing pig semen for use in artificial insemination
* Performing artificial insemination in a piggery setting
* Livestock heat detection
* Administering vaccination of, and medication to sow herd
Requirements :
* Certificate III or higher in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or one year work experience in similar role
* Strong knowledge of artificial insemination, farrowing management, and herd health monitoring.
* Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on, rural environment.
* Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety.
