In this position, you will apply your experience and knowledge to develop structural systems for large and complex projects.This engineering role involves:Preparing detailed Finite Element Models and performing analysis of structures using Finite Element Analysis, hand calculations, and other tools.Undertaking structural optimized designs to meet project requirements and applicable standards and design directives.Conducting site inspections and verifications as required.Providing structural engineering activities for the project, including liaising with customers and suppliers as appropriate.About YOUIdeal candidates will have:Stress analysis experience, including using FEM and calculations for detailed design of structures.Working knowledge of analysis and modeling tools such as Hyperworks, Mathcad, Excel, Creo, and AutoCAD.A degree in Civil, Naval Architecture, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Good understanding of import/export control processes, including UK, EU, and US regulations (ITAR) - beneficial.Eligibility for registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and membership eligibility.Eligibility to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance.We encourage candidates who do not meet all criteria to apply, as we hire for potential.About USYou will join a workplace that cares about your wellbeing.
