GSL Education are looking for a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join a supportive school in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated teacher to engage students, promote healthy lifestyles, and create a positive inclusive environment through physical education.
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons, support students of all abilities, and work closely with colleagues to encourage participation and teamwork. The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and committed to helping students achieve their potential through physical activity.
Core Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons
* Encourage teamwork, confidence, and a positive attitude towards fitness
* Support students' physical development and participation in sport
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Promote positive behaviour and student engagement
* Organise and support extracurricular sports activities and events
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE programme
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching PE in a school setting
* Ability to motivate and engage students across all abilities
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
