Financial Auditor Role
Our office reports directly to the SA Parliament on the audits of the finances, systems and processes of both state and local government agencies.
* We identify whether services and activities are effective, efficient and properly accounted for.
* Our audits provide recommendations to public sector agencies on future improvements they could make to deliver better outcomes to the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in accounting or commerce (majoring in accounting).
* Understanding and awareness of accounting methods and procedures.
* Social and economic environment and the responsibility placed on the department for public accountability.
* Accounting and auditing standards and practices.
* Knowledge of audit strategy and scope.
