We are seeking to fill 3 permanent, full-time Professional Driver positions with highly experienced and motivated drivers. This is an prospect to advance your skills, build a stable career, and achieve a fulfilling work-life balance.
As a Qualified Driver, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality waste management services with duties including:
- Safely operating Council vehicles equipped with modern Telematics systems
- Collecting residential and commercial waste, and maintaining bin infrastructure
- Reporting operational issues and maintaining daily run sheets
- Working collaboratively with the Waste Services leadership team.
Essential Qualifications and experience
- Customer service experience
- Well-developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and unsupervised
- Ability to locate properties using systems such as Google Maps, TechOne, Telematics, Global Positioning System (GPS), directions and signage
- Class HR driver’s licence.
Desirable
- Previous experience in waste management collection and/or removal or similar field
- Previous experience in using Telematics system and Global Positioning System (GPS).
Remuneration And Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,447.38 per week
- 38 hour working week, plus a compulsory 1 hour overtime per day
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every month
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
