Technology Controls & Assurance Senior Manager


PwC Australia is hiring for the Technology Controls & Assurance Senior Manager role. This is a 12-month max term contract. Location: All AU locations – Hybrid/Full-time.


Overview


Our Tech Hub team is expanding and we're looking for a Senior Technology Risk and Compliance Manager to join our community of solvers. The Tech Hub enables our company's technology-driven goals by leading and supporting the adoption of new technology, protecting against risk, and delivering valuable data insights to transform our technology capabilities. Technology Governance & Risk Management involves establishing frameworks, policies and procedures to manage technology risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a Technology Controls & Assurance Senior Manager, you will support the Technology Controls & Assurance Director to document, assess and manage technology, security and data controls across the firm. You will build strong relationships across the business to successfully manage and execute control testing and reporting, ensuring control weaknesses, risks and issues are managed within the firm's risk appetite.


Responsibilities

1. Provide extensive experience in technology risk, controls and assurance, including control testing, identifying technology control gaps and delivering remediation strategies aligned to the firm's risk appetite and objectives
2. Demonstrate deep understanding of Audit/Assurance and risk assessment processes, with knowledge of regulatory requirements and frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001/2
3. Manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time
4. Communicate effectively and deliver meaningful reports, engaging and influencing stakeholders towards positive outcomes
5. Drive continuous improvement
6. Collaborative and innovative, thriving in environments that reimagine possibilities for clients and stakeholders
7. Act with integrity and show care for colleagues, ensuring meaningful interactions and results
* Actively contribute to the development, documentation, approval, implementation and testing of the firm's Technology, Security and Data Controls
* Manage and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with the Control Assurance Framework
* Work with control owners to identify gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen the control environment
* Escalate and report risks, control weaknesses, incidents and issues that remain unmitigated or outside of risk appetite
* Lead the Quality Management for Service Excellence Assurance (QSME) from a technological risk and IT controls perspective, including:
o Identification of QSME systems and tools including the associated infrastructure
o Ongoing monitoring program to ensure compliance with identified IT controls for in-scope systems and tools
o Escalate / Resolve risk matters
o Support the regular independent global review and testing program
* Drive enhancements to the Technology controls & assurance frameworks and practices
* Provide IT governance, risk management, controls and assurance guidance
